Interviews

RAMONE LASH
Age: 36 — Zine publisher / independent writer
Interview Log Excerpt - March 19, 2:10 PM

VOSS: Tell me again what you were doing Monday night.
LASH: Editing. In my place. I've got time stamps on everything I uploaded.
VOSS: This red ink you keep in your apartment--
LASH: It's part of the aesthetic. DIY stuff. Blood wasn't mine. I've cut myself before--sure--but this? No.
VOSS: You knew Marcus well.
LASH: I did. But he changed. He got paranoid, like the writing meant something more. Said Sarah was hiding things. Said I wasn't pulling my weight creatively. It got weird.

Note: Defensive posture, lots of hand movement. Seems anxious but cooperative. Had motive, tension with Drell. Alibi plausible but not airtight. History of: Petty theft
JACKIE GREY
Age: 29 — Art school dropout, gallery assistant
Interview Log Excerpt - March 19, 5:30 PM

VOSS: Jackie, why are you still wearing Sarah's perfume?
GREY: (quiet laugh) That's a weird question. We shared everything--clothes, books, even scent. I guess I haven't let it go yet.
VOSS: You found the crime scene photos artistic.
GREY: I didn't say that. I said... there's something about how Sarah was placed. It looked like a goodbye.
VOSS: Did you two have a falling out?
GREY: Not really. Just... drifted. She was tired of us. Said we didn't finish things. But none of us expected this. You have to believe that.

Note: Speaks softly, but with confidence. Emotionally hard to read. No strong alibi. Knew where Sarah liked to walk, had keys to her old apartment. History of: Stalking, Petty theft
HOGARTH NIN
Age: 42 — Former professor, currently unemployed
Interview Log Excerpt - March 19, 8:00 PM

VOSS: You wrote a short story called "A Woman Buried Singing." That ring a bell?
NIN: Yes. But it's fiction. Writers work with images, metaphors--
VOSS: The details match Sarah's death exactly.
NIN: Coincidence. Or... maybe she read it, and... copied it? I don't know.
VOSS: Did you see Marcus recently?
NIN: No. He stopped responding to messages. Said the group was "poisoned." Said someone was watching him.
VOSS: Were you?
NIN: (long pause) That's not how I work. I write. I observe. I don't act.

Note: Highly articulate. Speaks slowly, deliberately. Possibly manipulative. Alibi unclear. His fiction eerily overlaps with the crime scenes. No history.
